Julia (Julie) earned a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education
and Social Studies from the University of Minnesota in 1973. She has
taken additional classes in accounting and business finance through
the University. Julie was a reserve teacher for Minneapolis Public Schools
from 1976 to 1986 and was a member of the St. Anthony-New Brighton School
Board from 1982 until 1990.
Julie has been a real estate appraiser since 1989 and is an Associate
member of the Appraisal Institute. She is also a member of the Board
of Directors of the Metro/Minnesota Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
Julie and her husband, Brad, have three married children and five
grandchildren. She is native to Minneapolis. Julie and Brad recently
moved to Taylors Falls, Minnesota where they are finishing up the construction
of their dream home, a timber frame, on thirty acres. Her hobbies include;
travel, reading, antiques, cross country skiing, cooking and entertaining,
tea, gardening, walking and foreign languages.
