SIMPLE STEPS TO REMOVE YOUR PMI

Follow these simple steps to see if you qualify to have your Private Mortgage Insurance Removed:

  1. Contact your lender or check your statements to get your current mortgage amount. You will also need to find out where the appraisal needs to be sent to and any special requirements your lender may have.
  2. Contact BCL Appraisals to order an appraisal online or by phone.
  3. A Certified or Licensed appraiser will review your property information and will call to schedule an appointment to inspect the interior and exterior of your home. If the appraiser finds in his/her preliminary research that your loan to value ratio will not qualify for PMI removal, the appraisal will be cancelled and you will not be charged. If the appraiser inspects your home and researches your neighborhood and finds that your loan to value ratio has not reached 80%, the appraiser will stop the appraisal process and you will only be charged a trip fee of $100. If you would still like an appraisal of your home, the appraiser will finish the report and you will pay the normal fee for a home appraisal.
  4. The appraisal will be sent to your lender and they will work with you on the Private Mortgage Insurance removal process.
