After graduating from Cretin High School in 1973, Ron earned a business
degree from Lakewood Community College. In 1978 he completed his education
requirements and became an appraiser at Forsythe Appraisals.
In 1987, Lachenmayer, Al Carufel, MAI and Brad Bjorklund, MAI co-founded
BCL Appraisals, Inc. Today, the company has grown from three appraisers
to eleven. As company president, Lachenmayer has stressed the importance
of solid client-appraiser relationships and as a result, BCL Appraisals,
Inc. has been serving some of the same clientele for over 16 years.
In addition, the company has maintained positive relationships with
its peers and established a friendly and respectable reputation among
the competition.
Along with his appraisal work, Lachenmayer has given expert testimony
in many court cases. He has served on the review panel for the Appraisal
Institute as well as serving on the Education Commission. Ron has been
featured in a number of articles including a feature in the Star Tribune,
as well as various national magazines.
Lachenmayer is an avid handball player, winning first place in a number
of state tournaments. In addition, he enjoys fishing, traveling and
spending time with his family at his cabin on Bone Lake in Wisconsin.
